Kate Inoue
Dancer for Season 3
Kate Inoue is currently a lead dancer with the Los Angeles Ballet. Her repertoire includes performing principal roles such as Giselle in Giselle, Aurora and Princess Florine in The Sleeping Beauty, Principal couple in George Balanchine’s Rubies, Russian Girl in George Balanchine’s Serenade, Marie (Sugar Plum Fairy) in The Nutcracker, and Nichette in Val Caniparoli's The Lady of the Camellias. She has also performed numerous featured roles in neoclassical and contemporary works by Justin Peck, Christopher Wheeldon, and Annabelle Lopez Ochoa.
Kate started her early training at Palos Verdes Ballet School and Etoile Ballet School in Osaka, Japan. Later, she moved to Carlisle, Pennsylvania to train at Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet under the directorship of Marcia Dale Weary and Darla Hoover. Upon graduating high school, she danced with Pacific Northwest Ballet as a member of the Professional Division for a few months before joining Los Angeles Ballet.
Kate has performed in galas internationally including in Japan, the World Ballet Festival, and many others. She also performs as a guest dancer and has danced a variety of roles including the Don Quixote pas de deux, Flames of Paris pas de deux, excerpts from George Balanchine’s Who Cares?, excerpts from Coppelia, and the Grand Pas de deux from The Nutcracker.
