  • "I so enjoyed Pointeworks’ June 14 performance. The choreography and range of the pieces presented, as well as the quality of the dancing, impressed me. One of the best ballet performances I’ve seen in San Diego."

  • "That performance was so beautiful--it's almost beyond words. I thank you for such an exquisite experience. You have certainly put together a unique approach with female choreographers, composers and costume designers. And it all came together last night! Thank you!"

  • "I’ve had the privilege of being invited to a private event where this fine group demonstrated performances and their mission. Their message of peace was so touching, that I booked them to perform at the La Jolla Golden Triangle Rotary Club. We are so inspired by their skill, grace and messages. "

  • "I commend Pointeworks for their visionary approach in leveraging dance to enhance community mental health and support female artists."

    — Leanne Nordeman

  • “Gabriel Speiller put together a knockout team—Ingrid Silva, Luis Fernando Rego, Lindsey Donnell, and Elias Re—who hit the Ailey performance space on March 21st and 22nd like a well-rehearsed lightning strike […] Pointeworks, the brainchild of Sophie Williams, is out here shaking up ballet, amplifying female voices, and reminding everyone that tradition is great, but so is actually moving the art form forward. Speiller crafted something that wasn't just movement—it was transformation. It was watching dancers connect, expand, and push into new territory. Not because they told us, but because the movement said so. No words, no grand gestures—just feeling.[…]”

  • “I had a great experience at Pointeworks at the Alvin Ailey Theater. Everything from purchasing my ticket online, being greeted at Alvin Ailey Citigroup Theater and having a great seat for viewing Pointeworks production […] I thought the dancers in “One Way Line” were each fluid in their parts & movements, as individuals and in partnering […] The piece came together so well. Bravo!”

    - Howard Speiller

  • “My husband had never seen a ballet performance before, and I hadn't seen one since I was a kid, so we weren't sure what to expect at the Pointeworks performance. In the end, we're so glad we went! We thoroughly enjoyed watching the different creators' visions come to life, and we were spellbound by the dancers and their exceptional talent. We were especially moved by One Way Line - its message, its emotional pull, and its sheer beauty. It was mesmerizing. We're now looking forward to seeing more ballet performances in the future!”

  • “A riveting performance by an up-and-coming ballet group which has managed to integrate innovative dance style, choreography, and music performed by some of the ballet world's top artists. On anyone's "must do" list who loves ballet.”

    - Paul Newton

  • “Amazing dancers highlighted by Laine’s incredible choreography!”

    - Wandrille Boisset

  • “As someone who rarely attends the ballet, but loves the arts, this performance was very special to see! Pointeworks created an NYC moment equally approachable and professional; to experience music, choreography, and costume design by so many talented persons in one show was simply amazing. And to witness the Von Enck sisters take the stage together was so beautiful! I hope to see Pointeworks perform again soon."

    - Audience member of Pointeworks’ NYC Tour

  • “What can I say! I attended Friday evenings opening night and was blown away by the talent and the diversity of the pieces I was experiencing! The dancers and the choreographers delivered such a feast for the eyes and heart!"

    - Renee Pregeant-Wood

  • “Even though I was booked to fly back home Saturday early evening I had to attend the Pointeworks performance a second time! Again the diversity of the program and the talent of the dancers was fascinating! As a Mother of two dancers, I loved the three sisters performing together - the beauty of DNA was mindblowing as these young ladies gave to each other and the audience on stage - Bravo! Lastly, “It’s Deep and it’s Dark” by DaYoung was a moving interpretation! I really felt the dancer's emotions!!!”

    - Renee Pregeant-Wood

  • “Absolute Perfection— I enjoyed every single piece. Every dance told a story and brought a different excitement with the choreography and movement. The energy and joy of all the dancers as they lit up the stage was infectious as they told their choreographic story. And ️️️️️FIVE STARS to the choreographers. Thank you for your continued vision, creativity, hard work and dedication. You all are truly PRICELESS.”

    - Lindsay Blake

  • "Memorable performance! All dances left a strong impression. I was particularly struck by the lighting plan; lush at times, but stark and full of contrast as well. The side lighting in It's Deep, It's Dark was particularly striking. The costumes were seamlessly (pun intended, sorry) integrated with the feel of the lighting and movement. Again, It's Deep, It's Dark was notably so in this regard, but nexalune and Chasing Shadows were also well integrated. The dancing was superbly choreographed and I wondered if having women choreographers allowed them to conceptualize the dance in ways that really built on an intimate knowledge of what women's bodies can do. The dancers were fluid, muscular at times, acrobatic at others, and graceful beyond compare. I'm not familiar with the company, but it was easy to identify Rieko Hatato. She danced beautifully. I really liked the use of the solo piano in nexalune and in Carousel. All around, an unforgettable evening; looking forward to further performances in future."
