A FIRST LOOK · SEASON 4 · 2027
You’re invited to shape what comes next.
Before the season is announced, we’re inviting you in.
This is your first look at the work we are building for 2027, and an invitation to help make it possible from the beginning. Join a circle of patrons supporting the artists, new ballets, original scores and shared experiences that will become Pointeworks’ fourth season.
Choose the part of the creative process that speaks to you. Put your name beside work you believe in. Your support gives artists paid time to create and helps bring something extraordinary to the stage.

Make the work possible.
Champion a dancer
$3,000 · $4,500 · $6,000
Give a professional artist two, three or four weeks of base-pay support at $1,500 per week: time to create, rehearse and bring the season to life.
Did a dancer capture your heart at COMPOSITIONS? Help bring them back to the San Diego stage.
Season 4 conversations may include returning dancer Maine Chernjavsky, Paige Nyman, Nicole Von Enck, Rayleigh Vendt, Ángel Ramírez, Jorge Garcia, Rieko Hatato, Gabriel Wright, Ella Titus and Emma Von Enck.
Nicole Von Enck and Ángel Ramírez are among the artists available for sponsorship. Email Sophie to discuss the artist you would love to support and the most meaningful way to give; we can arrange a personal conversation. Artist participation, support allocations and remaining funding needs are confirmed together.
Where your support takes shape: Our planning includes two March weeks in New York; one Fort Worth week, two Los Angeles weeks and one San Diego week in June; and two Southern California creation weeks in July. Two additional Dallas–Fort Worth creation weeks are being planned for January–March. Schedules and individual artist engagements remain subject to confirmation.
Your invitation: You and a guest may join a dress rehearsal, company class or onstage class, with a backstage tour arranged around the company’s schedule. Artist-support acknowledgment can place your name beside the work you help sustain.

Bring a new ballet into being
Creation Partner · $5,000 | Lead Creation Partner · $10,000
Stand beside a choreographer at the beginning. Support paid rehearsal, collaboration and the creation of new repertoire, from an intimate duet to an ambitious ensemble ballet.
A $5,000 creation partnership for Julia Weber or Rieko Hatato supports one week for two dancers and a choreographer, plus $500 toward the commission fee. A full ballet-and-original-music partnership is scoped separately.
Laine Habony’s planned ten-dancer tutu ballet offers a larger opportunity: three weeks with ten dancers, a rehearsal director and Laine, each at $1,500 per week. A lead or shared partnership can help realize this $54,000 base-pay investment, with music, costumes and production scoped separately.
Your invitation: A private dress-rehearsal experience for your group of up to 10, plus agreed creation credit. We welcome a conversation about a meaningful dedication or naming concept, developed with the artistic team.
Distinctive voices. New possibilities.
Meet four of the choreographers in our Season 4 plans, each bringing a different artistic world into the studio.
Laine Habony
A New York City Ballet dancer and choreographer whose work spans NYCB’s First Steps program, Ballet Sun Valley and REVOLVE Dance Project. For Pointeworks, Laine created Chasing Shadows with composer Katie Jenkins.
Ingrid Silva
A Brazilian dancer, choreographer and advocate whose work spans Fire Island Dance Festival and Orsolina28. The founder of PodHer and a co-founder of Blacks in Ballet, Ingrid brings an international perspective and a commitment to representation.
Julia Weber
A Polish-born, New York–based choreographer and Juilliard graduate, recognized with the Héctor Zaraspe Prize for Choreographic Promise. Her creations include work for the New York Choreographic Institute and Traverse City Dance Project.
Rieko Hatato
A principal dancer with Texas Ballet Theater and an original Pointeworks artist. Her choreographic voice entered our repertoire with Amour de Jeunesse, a duet created for Pointeworks in 2025.
Give original music its first life.
Suggested support · $1,500 or $5,000
Help a new score take shape in conversation with movement. Original music gives a ballet its own sound, and composers the paid creative time to pursue it.
Explore the work of pianist and composer Philip Daniel, Pointeworks Resident Composer Katie Jenkins, and Brazilian composer Leandro Albuquerque. Composer-and-ballet matches are confirmed after scope, prior support and rights are reviewed.
Your recognition: An agreed acknowledgment of your support for the score, with a conversation about a meaningful dedication where artist and rights-holder permissions allow.
Let the music live in the room.
Live-musician underwriting · The Conrad · 2027
There is nothing like the exchange between a dancer and a musician sharing the stage. Be part of bringing live performance to our planned 2027 La Jolla program.
Robbie Bui · Cello · San Diego
Veronika Manchur · Violin · Los Angeles
Joshua Mhoon · Piano · New York City
Each musician is available as an individual sponsorship opportunity. We will shape the contribution around the artist’s performance scope and confirmed needs, with thoughtful recognition of your support.
Plans remain subject to artist scheduling, venue confirmation and final agreements.
Give a ballet its visual world.
Costume a ballet
Contemporary work or pas de deux · $2,000 | Tutu ballet · $10,000
Underwrite the design and creation of costumes that carry a choreographer’s vision into the light. Support a smaller contemporary work or pas de deux from $2,000, or the costumes for Laine Habony’s planned ten-dancer tutu ballet with a $10,000 partnership.
Pointeworks’ costume collaborations include Christine Rader / CR Designs, Susan Roemer and Katy Freeman. Explore the artistry behind past productions and help make the next visual world possible.
Your recognition: Costume-underwriting credit in the program and an agreed acknowledgment when the costumes return in future Pointeworks restagings. Wording, placement and duration will be confirmed together.

Set the stage.
Performance Presenting Partner
Make a theater the meeting place for artists and audiences. These proposed partnerships help carry the season from the studio to the stage.
New York · March 16, 2027 · $15,000
Theater-rental support at Ailey.
Irvine · June 18, 2027 · $15,000
Underwriting for the Barclay Theatre performance.
La Jolla · June 26–27, 2027 · $20,000
Underwriting for the Conrad performances.
Your invitation: A dinner with artists, arranged in consultation with the company, plus agreed presenting recognition. We can explore a credit such as “Presented with the support of [Patron Name]” and discuss a meaningful program dedication or naming concept.
Dates, venue terms, underwriting scope and recognition remain subject to final agreement. Artistic decisions remain with Pointeworks.
Community Access Partner
Open the doors.
$40 per seat
500-seat goal · $20,000
Make someone’s first ballet possible. Help provide another 500 complimentary community seats in 2027.
Support a group of seats, or tell us which community organization you would like to reach. We’ll agree the partnership, seat allocation and performance availability together.
Custom open-rehearsal partnerships are also welcome for discussion.
Put your name beside the work.
A sponsorship can become part of a ballet’s story: the artist who had time to create, the score that came to life, the costumes that returned to the stage, the audience welcomed for the first time.
We will work with you on recognition that feels thoughtful and personal, from an artist-support acknowledgment or creation credit to a dedication or presenting partnership.
A closer connection to the process
Ballet underwriters may bring a group of up to 10 to a private dress-rehearsal experience. Dancer underwriters and one guest may attend an agreed rehearsal or class experience with a backstage tour. Theater underwriters can share a specially arranged dinner with artists.
Every experience is arranged with care around artists’ consent, company schedules, venue access, safety and availability. Recognition, guest numbers and any associated costs are confirmed in writing. Naming ideas are developed in consultation with Pointeworks; artistic decisions remain with the company.
Take your place in the story.
Tell us what moves you.
An artist. A new ballet. An original score. A theater filled with possibility. We would love to find your place in Season 4 with you.

Double what is possible.
Eligible gifts are matched dollar for dollar through December 1, 2026, up to $100,000 in matching funds, while matching funds remain available.
A $3,000 gift supports two weeks of one dancer’s base pay. If eligible for an available $3,000 match directed to the same purpose, the combined $6,000 could support two dancers for two weeks. Allocations and matching eligibility are confirmed before a commitment is made. Ask Sophie whether a designated sponsorship, DAF grant or check qualifies; future installments and pledges are not automatically matched.

Ways to give
By check: Payable to Pointeworks
13273 Norcroft Rd
San Diego, CA 92130
Through a donor-advised fund: Recommend a grant to Pointeworks, EIN 92-3444407, through your DAF sponsor. Contact Sophie first to coordinate the intended purpose and confirm any matching eligibility. DAF grants must comply with your sponsoring organization’s rules; do not use a DAF grant to obtain tickets, meals or other personal benefits.
Gifts of other amounts and in-kind artist housing or travel support are welcome for discussion.
Suggested contributions are starting points, not a list of unsponsored inventory or guaranteed full-project costs. We confirm remaining need, designated use and recognition before accepting a gift. Base-pay equivalents exclude travel, housing, payroll costs, performance add-ons and other expenses. Sponsorship does not confer artistic control, endorsement, intellectual-property rights, exclusivity or a guaranteed performance. Any goods or services and their value will be disclosed as applicable in the gift acknowledgment.
