AvaRose Dillon
Dancer in Season 2 and 3
AvaRose Dillon grew up in California where she found her love of ballet at Santa Cruz Ballet Theatre under Diane Cypher. At age 14 she moved to Texas to train full-time at the Texas Ballet Theatre School. At age 17 she was invited into the main company. She graduated online high school one year early and then began her Bachelor’s degree online with Texas Tech University, studying public relations.
Today she dances as a Corps de Ballet member with Texas Ballet Theater and acts as the Marketing and Outreach Coordinator for Pointeworks while continuing her college education. Dillon has traveled to many cities for training including San Francisco Ballet, School of American Ballet in NYC, American Ballet Theater in Irvine, and Madrid with Art Of Forsythe Workshop.
Her favorite ballets to perform include George Balanchine's Rubies and Ben Stevenson's Dracula and Bartok. She has also performed modern and contemporary works by choreographers like Martha Graham, Paul Taylor, and Val Caniparoli and has originated works by emerging choreographers like Alexandra Light and Reka Gyulai.
AvaRose was drawn to Pointeworks because of its female-forward initiative and is thrilled to be a part of the organization both artistically and administratively.
