Join Pointeworks for an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the creation of a brand-new ballet by acclaimed choreographer Hélène Simoneau.
On just the third day of rehearsals, audiences will have the rare opportunity to witness the creative process as Simoneau develops new choreography on Pointeworks artists. The rehearsal will feature a first listen to an original score by resident composer Katie Jenkins, offering a glimpse into a work that will continue to evolve throughout the season.
This new commission will receive its world premiere on October 18, 2026 as part of COMPOSITIONS: An Evening of Katie Jenkins at the Balboa Theatre, accompanied by a live string quartet.
Following the rehearsal, stay for a brief conversation with the artists to learn more about the collaborative process behind creating a new ballet from the ground up.
