Created for Pointeworks in 2026, Rule of Three is a bright, musically alert trio built on shifting alliances, playful competition, and the changing geometry of three. Danielle Diniz’s choreography moves between individual sparkle and tightly woven ensemble work, allowing three distinctive personalities to meet on equal footing.

A Pointeworks original · 2026
Created during Pointeworks’ five-day choreographic residency in New York City, Danielle Diniz’s Rule of Three draws on her Mexican and Portuguese heritage and a vibrant Latin soundscape. Shaped by the dancers’ own expressions of joy, the trio explores longing, connection, and uplift.
The work premiered as a dance film, filmed by Alexander Sargent at Baryshnikov Arts Center. Its mainstage premiere is slated for March 2027.
