Ashley Lavin was born and raised in Miami, Florida. She began her ballet training at the age of 5 under Martha Mahr at the Martha Mahr School of Ballet and later attended New World School of the Arts. In 2009, Ashley received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Dance Arts Administration from Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana. After college, Ashley went on to work in the corporate world and started a family. After 15 years away, she really missed life in the ballet studio, so in 2024, Ashley joined Ballet San Antonio as both Artistic Administrative Coordinator and a member of the wardrobe team.
