FJORD REVIEW PRAISES NOCTURNES: FIVE BALLETS

We're thrilled to share that NOCTURNES: Five Ballets has been featured in a wonderful review by Fjord Review, an international publication dedicated to ballet and dance.

Among the highlights, reviewer Robert Steven Mack remarked:

"Pointeworks is the new kid on the block... If the crowd at the Conrad Prebys Theatre in La Jolla is an indicator, the company’s cocktail-attire professionalism creates an experience that will attract the parched balletomanes in the city."

Steven Mack also praised several other of the evening's works:

  • Moving Forces by Jacquelyn Long featured the Fire trio whose "precision and attack fed off of one another."

  • Dani Rowe's UnSaid was praised for its "heartbreakingly chiseled surrender."

  • Keerati Jinakunphipat's world premiere Spillover was celebrated for its "contemporary verve."

We're grateful to Robert Steven Mack and Fjord Review for their coverage, and to every artist, collaborator, donor, volunteer, and audience member who made this Summer Season possible.
