Ángel Ramírez
Dancer for Season 3
ÁNGEL RAMÍREZ was born in Trinidad, Cuba, and trained for eight years at the National Ballet School of Cuba in Havana, winning the gold medal in the Cuban International Ballet Competition his graduating year. Upon graduation, he was accepted into the National Ballet of Cuba and performed in numerous classical ballets. Ramirez was invited to train at The Rock School in Philadelphia and competed in Youth American Grand Prix the following year, winning the Grand Prix Award in Philadelphia. Since joining Atlanta Ballet in 2021, he has performed principal roles such as Frantz in Coppelia by George Balanchine, Albrecht in Giselle, the Prince in Yuri Possokhov’s The Nutcracker and Prodigal Son by George Balanchine, and has worked with renowned choreographers like Cathy Marston, Yuri Possokhov, Justin Peck, Helgi Tomasson, Remi Wörtmeyer, Juliano Nunez. He has also performed in galas, festivals and projects dancing roles like Romeo in Romeo and Juliet balcony pas created by Andrea Schermoly, Le Bourgeois by Van Cauwenbergh among others. Ramirez was named as one of Dance Magazine’s “25 to Watch” in 2026.
