THIS SUMMER, POINTEWORKS PARTNERS WITH THE LA JOLLA WOMAN’S CLUB FOR A PRIVATE SHOWCASE OF SWEEPING CHOREOGRAPHY AND EXHILARATING LIVE MUSIC.
Experience two of our dancers, Madeline Bez and Kyle Torres-Hiyoshi, in the first reveal of Jacquelyn Long’s Moving Forces, a brilliant new commission making its world premiere onstage at La Jolla’s iconic Conrad Theater this June. This pas de deux, The Breath of the Tides, reflects glistening water droplets, depth of the currents, and the emotional terrain of Jenkins’ original composition. This masterpiece will be accompanied by award-winning pianist, Joshua Mhoon, and acclaimed violinist, Julia Choi.
