Francesca Fetten, Violin

Violinist Francesca Fetten is a graduate of both Rice University's Shepherd School of Music and Oberlin Conservatory, where she earned her Master of Music and Bachelor of Music degrees. She studied under the tutelage of Kathleen Winkler, Marilyn McDonald, and David Bowlin.

Based in Southern California, Francesca performs regularly with the San Diego Symphony and has also appeared with the Pacific Symphony, Silk Road Ensemble, Ensemble Reflektor, and the Boston Philharmonic. Her career has taken her to renowned venues including Boston's Symphony Hall and Carnegie Hall, where she has performed a diverse range of orchestral and chamber repertoire.

Passionate about both performance and education, Francesca was awarded a teaching scholarship while pursuing her master's degree at Rice University and continues to maintain an active private teaching studio alongside her performing career.

For Pointeworks' 2026 season, Francesca joins the creative team for Hélène Simoneau's new ballet set to an original score by Resident Composer Katie Jenkins, collaborating throughout the July creation residency before returning for the world premiere at COMPOSITIONS: An Evening of Katie Jenkins in October 2026. Outside of music, Francesca enjoys surfing, martial arts, and painting.
