At Pointeworks’ final open rehearsal before the opening night of Nocturnes: Five Ballets, guests received an intimate, behind-the-scenes look at Moving Forces—a new ballet by choreographer Jacquelyn Long, created in collaboration with Resident Composer Katie Jenkins.
Inspired by the elemental forces of fire, wind, earth, and water, the work was just days away from making its world premiere at The Conrad in La Jolla. Guests observed the artists at work from the front of the studio, gained insight into the creative process, and witnessed the ballet taking its final shape before reaching the stage.
